Haoyuan (Luke) Wang is originally from Xuchang, Henan, China. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from the University of California San Diego and went on to complete a master’s degree in Biostatistics at Duke University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Luke’s research focuses on leveraging data to advance human health. In particular, he works on using electronic health records to improve disease risk prediction and inform clinical decision-making.
