Huilin is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He earned his PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy from University of Florida in 2024 under the mentorship of Dr. Serena Guo and Dr. Jiang Bian. His research specializes in pharmacoepidemiology and real-word studies, focusing on diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases to advance precision medicine and promote healthy aging. He leverages large-scale real-world data (such as electronic health records and insurance claims), alongside advanced analytical techniques (like artificial intelligence/machine learning and causal inference), to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and heterogeneity of treatment effects for pharmaceutical therapies. To date, he has authored over 90 peer-reviewed articles, with his work appearing in prestigious journals, including Annals of Internal Medicine, JAMA Neurology, Diabetes Care, and Alzheimer’s & Dementia.
